ICE Posts an Election Day Warning to Voters: "If You Vote Illegally, We Will Find You"

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement posted a warning on X on Election Day, the AP reported: “If you vote illegally, we will find you. We will track you down, arrest you, and prosecute you. There will be no escape.” AP wrote that “The agency did not return messages seeking comment about the post” and that throughout Tuesday “it also posted about arrests of noncitizens accused of voting.”

The AP added that “the number of arrests and earlier investigations in the states demonstrate the problem is rare.” The post itself was not read for this entry; the text is as the AP quoted it.
