DHS Release Says ICE Arrested 'Dozens' Over Alleged Voter Fraud but Gives No Total, States or Charges

In a release dated October 28, 2026, the Department of Homeland Security said ICE “has arrested dozens of individuals in connection with alleged voter fraud and election-related offenses across the United States,” including people DHS says admitted to “unlawfully registering to vote or casting ballots.” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said “The patriots of ICE have arrested dozens of non-citizens who illegally voted in American elections” and that “Some of them have criminal histories.” The release then gives 13 examples of what it calls “ongoing investigations and arrests,” each with a name, a country of origin, the election year DHS says the person voted in, and a criminal history. This entry names none of them.

For the 13 examples it does not say in which state or federal district each was arrested, what each is charged with or whether any is charged with a voting offense, when the arrests happened, whether any has been convicted of a voting offense, or, for each person, whether the alleged conduct was registering or casting a ballot. Some are said to have voted “in the 2026 election,” without saying which 2026 election.
