"Department of Peace" Leak Publishes Data on About 42,000 DHS Employees via DDoSecrets

A leak website published Wednesday shows internal data on more than 41,000 DHS employees and contractors, per CyberScoop; Straight Arrow News says almost 42,000, about one-fifth of the agency’s workforce. The transparency nonprofit got the data from a hacktivist outfit known as the Department of Peace, which said it came from an Okta single sign-on service used at DHS. Group names include Undercover Operations and Covert Operations. The group tied it to DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin’s words about “turning up the heat.” Individuals in the data are not named here.
