Ohio Secretary of State LaRose Refers Black Fork Strategies (Field Forward Ohio) to the U.S. Attorney and FBI Cleveland Over Late Voter Registration Forms

The Ohio Secretary of State’s Election Integrity Unit announced a referral to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio and the FBI’s Cleveland Field Office, concerning Black Fork Strategies LLC under its trade name Field Forward Ohio. The release says Summit County reported just under 5,000 forms delivered on October 5, and that approximately 321 Hamilton County forms were collected or signed before filing too early. Complaints came from Summit, Franklin, Wayne, Hamilton, Stark and Jackson counties, and the same evidence goes to state and county prosecutors.

The referrer is the Secretary of State, not the Attorney General: cleveland.com’s URL slug says “Ohio AG”, but the release says Secretary of State.
