The Intercept: Fellowship PAC Routed $600,000 Through Bo Hines's Nxum Group to Support Democrats Torres, Goodlander and Warner
The Intercept reported on Oct. 23 that Fellowship PAC routed $600,000 since this summer through Nxum Group, a firm co-founded by former Trump crypto adviser Bo Hines, to help reelect Reps. Ritchie Torres and Maggie Goodlander and Sen. Mark Warner; the Intercept says “none of them are facing competitive elections this fall.” The PAC, which the Intercept says received a $10 million January donation from Tether’s U.S. banking firm Cantor Fitzgerald and named a Tether vice president as chair in April, spent exclusively on Republicans until its first Democratic expenditure in June. Its cash on hand was $250,000 as of Oct. 14, and the Intercept says it has never reported the $100 million war chest it claimed at launch. Goodlander’s campaign said it had nothing to do with the $150,000 spent in her race.
Hines left the administration in August 2025 and a month later Tether named him CEO of its U.S. branch. See also 2026-01-21–fellowship-pac-paid-nxum-group-6-55m-issue-advocacy-fec-schedule-b and 2026-10-14–wsj-nxum-hines-one-third-stake-tether-payments-genius-act.
