Judge AliKhan Consolidates the LULAC, NAACP and DSCC Polling-Place Suits for All Purposes Under LULAC v. DHS
On Oct. 23, 2026, Judge Loren L. AliKhan ordered that the NAACP v. DHS and DSCC v. ICE suits “shall be consolidated for all purposes” with LULAC v. DHS; filings go on the LULAC docket and bear each case’s number. The order says “The parties all agree that consolidation would be appropriate,” and finds the claims turn on “whether Defendants are authorized to deploy law enforcement officers to polling locations.”
This is the court’s ruling on the question it raised in its Oct. 9 order (2026-10-09–alikhan-contemplates-consolidating-lulac-naacp-dscc-polling-place-suits-lulac-amends-to-add-doj-fbi) after the parties’ joint status reports (2026-10-16–all-parties-tell-alikhan-consolidation-appropriate-lulac-naacp-dscc-polling-place-suits-joint-status-report). The order sets no schedule and rules on no injunction request.
