Rogers Posts "Abdul El-Sayed's Radical Ideology Is a Threat to Our National Security" and Repeats the Risk Line in the Final Michigan Senate Debate
Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers’s account (@MikeRogersForMI) posted on October 21, 2026: “Abdul El-Sayed’s radical ideology is a threat to our national security.” The Daily Wire embedded the post and described it as accompanying an ad.
The same day, in the second and final Michigan Senate debate in Southfield, Rogers said, per Jewish Insider: “You can grin and you can smile and you can talk real pretty, but I’m going to tell you what — that is a risk to our national security.” Immediately before, he had asked: “Are you for America, or are you for these terrorist groups overseas?” Jewish Insider described Rogers as referencing ties between El-Sayed supporters and Hamas, Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood.
El-Sayed, per Jewish Insider, insisted he has never been a part of the Muslim Brotherhood and said the attack “doesn’t make any sense” and “it’s actually really quite beneath you.”
This followed El-Sayed’s answer to the disavowal question at Caro (2026-10-17–caro-town-hall-questioner-tommy-identified-as-former-hawley-operations-director-thomas-teepell).
