HSI Arrests Five Lawful Permanent Residents in Florida on Federal Voting Charges; DHS Release Lists Their Criminal Histories
Homeland Security Investigations arrested five people in Florida on October 21 and October 22, 2026, according to a DHS release. The release says the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced the arrests, and that the five are “all of whom are Lawful Permanent Residents” charged with “voting by an alien.” It names each person, lists their prior arrests and convictions, and includes arrest photographs.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said “five more non-citizens have been arrested and charged for illegally voting in past elections” and that “Every time a non-citizen votes, it steals the vote of a hard-working American citizen.” The release calls the arrests part of the administration’s “broader focus on stopping non-citizens from voting in American elections” and lists earlier HSI voting arrests.
