CBS's Jan Crawford Deletes Post Praising El-Sayed's Caro Questioner, Apologizes for 'Violation of CBS News Standards'
On Oct 18, 2026, CBS News correspondent Jan Crawford posted on X: “Earlier, I tweeted a video from an Abdul El-Sayed town hall. I deleted that tweet because it was a violation of CBS News standards. I apologize.” The deleted post, in the text Deadline reproduced, did more than share a video: “His subsequent uninterrupted three-minute diatribe proving your exact point is the kind of spectacular self own most ppl only dream about triggering. Congrats.” A CBS News spokesperson did not immediately respond to Deadline’s request for comment.
