Reps. Bacon and Gottheimer Ask House Colleagues to Pledge to Accept the Election Results and Oppose Efforts to Block Seating Members

Per NPR, “Two U.S. House members are calling on their colleagues to pledge that they’ll accept this fall’s election results and oppose any effort to block the seating of fellow members next year.” One is Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.). Gottheimer is joined in the effort by Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.).

Bacon, as NPR quotes his remarks to the Wall Street Journal, wants the House to “seat certified winners.” Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and Mike Lawler of New York are signing on, their offices told NPR.
