GSA and Cushman & Wakefield Begin Marketing the Seven Offloaded ICE Warehouses, Bids Starting at $114 Per Square Foot, About $600 Million
On September 30, 2026 (press report date), Commercial Observer reported that the Trump administration is working with Cushman & Wakefield to offload seven industrial sites it had planned to convert to immigrant detention centers. The federal government is taking bids starting at $114 per square foot, or $600 million, for the seven sites, representing a roughly 15 percent discount to the average of $134 per square foot originally paid for the 5.3 million-square-foot portfolio. The paid total, per Green Street News as relayed by Commercial Observer, is $706.8 million.
The portfolio includes 7525 Cogswell Street in Romulus, Mich., the Eastwind Logistics Center in Socorro, Texas, and sites in Tremont, Pa., Salt Lake City, Social Circle and Flowery Branch.
What this is and is not. No sale has closed. The asking terms come from a trade outlet citing another trade outlet, not from a published GSA listing, and the $706.8 million total has not been reconciled here to other counts of warehouse purchases.
