Management & Training Corporation signed a contract with ICE on Sept. 29, 2026 to operate a 775-bed detention facility in Marana, Arizona on the site of a former state prison. SAM.gov records a more than $355 million contract for ‘comprehensive housing, transportation and medical services,’ with an additional delivery order of more than $25 million. MTC anticipates the facility will begin operating within two months, with a staff of about 338 full-time employees. DHS has awarded MTC almost $73 million in contracts this year. The company purchased the land back for $15 million in July 2025 after the state closed the prison in 2023.
