Capitol-Attack Defendants Bring Federal Tort Claims Act Complaints Against the United States in D.D.C.
Complaints pursuant to the Federal Tort Claims Act name the United States of America as defendant in the District of Columbia federal court: Anderson (Filed 09/04/26), Bingert (Filed 09/24/26), Eisenhart (Filed 09/25/26) and the Estate of Terry L. Allen (Filed 09/29/26), each dated by the stamp on the complaint. The Anderson complaint carries the Ticktin Law Group letterhead; Eisenhart was brought by Raiser, Kenniff & Lonstein, P.C.
The Anderson complaint pleads that “More than six months have elapsed since the presentment of the SF-95 claim forms without final disposition by the agencies, or the claims were denied,” and asks for compensatory damages of $1,000,000 per Plaintiff at minimum. Eisenhart asks for “Awarding punitive damages to the Plaintiff” among its relief.
NBC News reported that Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche “told Congress this week that the Justice Department was “not moving forward” with the $1.776 billion “anti-weaponization” fund”.
