Leading the Future Announces $2 Million in General-Election Ads for Four Republican Senate Candidates
The Daily Caller News Foundation reported on September 16, 2026 that Leading the Future will launch a $2 million investment to boost key Senate Republican candidates: Julia Letlow in Louisiana, Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith in Mississippi, Darline Graham in South Carolina and Sen. Mike Rounds in South Dakota. The outlet describes the PAC as funded by major AI companies, OpenAI president Greg Brockman and Andreessen Horowitz, and says it has raised more than $140 million for the midterms, per Reuters. The outlet gives the ads’ start as Wednesday, September 17.
Zac Moffatt, the PAC’s co-strategist, said: “We believe each of these candidates will help shape a strong, thoughtful national framework that keeps America competitive, expands economic opportunity, and delivers on those priorities.” American Mission, the GOP super PAC for Leading the Future, launched a spot about Graham. POLITICO reported the next day that the network “launched its first round of ads” in the general election, and described the four as “four Republicans in marginally competitive races that are unlikely to determine Senate control.” POLITICO adds that the network spent over $25 million in primary races this year.
