At an Oval Office press conference on September 4, 2026 (statement date), a reporter asked how Trump decides how to spend MAGA Inc.’s money. As transcribed in the Campaign Legal Center’s FEC complaint, Trump answered: “I think I have like close to a billion dollars in the super PAC” and “I’m allocating probably $400, $500 million.” He added: “This is my money that I control.” Asked whether he would save some for 2028, he said: “I could use it for ‘28 yes, if I want, sure.”

The Campaign Legal Center’s complaint to the Federal Election Commission against Trump, MAGA Inc. and its treasurer cites the exchange. Its own text says MAGA Inc. “has reportedly raised more than $400 million”, a different figure from Trump’s. The complaint’s notary block reads “this14th ___ day of September 2026” (verification date). The complaint’s MUR number is blank on the filed copy.
