International Motors Files WARN Notice for Both Springfield Plants Ahead of Roshel Sale
The entry date is the date the state said it received the WARN notice (a filing-receipt date); the article ran later. International Motors LLC warned the state of Ohio of its intention to lay off 1,341 Springfield workers by October, because of the sale of its assets to Roshel. The News-Sun reported that whether Roshel will retain local workers, and how many, has not been publicly clarified.
This is a separate job loss from the Haitian TPS file. The notice is not a TPS document, and any Springfield jobs figure read as a TPS effect has to be kept apart from it.
