Gregg Township Supervisors Opened the PNK Allenwood Data-Center Hearing on July 20; It Closed Sept. 14 and the Board Votes Oct. 27

• Township notice: the curative-amendment hearing on PNK’s application was set for June 1, 2026. It did not open on that date; the first part of the hearing took place July 20, before the Board of Supervisors, not a zoning hearing board. Why it moved is not in any page read. A late-May PennLive headline suggesting a postponement was seen only in a search snippet, because the page returned an access error.
• July 20 (hearing date): a large crowd and hours of testimony. Lawyers for neighboring households read letters of non-opposition or support; five households were no longer opposing. Neither attorney disclosed the terms of any agreements.
• Aug. 20 (resolution date): the supervisors, David Masser, Michael Keiser and Arthur Masser, adopted a moratorium on new data-center applications that excludes PNK’s pending application.
• Sept. 14 (hearing date): the third continuance closed after competing acoustic testimony from the township’s consultant and PNK’s. PNK’s counsel was J. Michael Wiley and its Chief Development Officer is Anton Voronkin.
• Decision deadline: supervisors have until Oct. 29. The township posted notice of a special meeting on October 27, 2026 to vote on the conditional-use application. The board can adopt PNK’s ordinance language or draft its own.
• Early October (county meeting, a Tuesday): Union County Commissioners denied PNK’s separate substation plan under the Great Stream Commons covenants. County staff are reviewing whether construction began without approval.
