GEO Group Employee Arrested After Shooting Woman Protester Outside Aurora ICE Detention Center

An employee at GEO Group’s Aurora Contract Detention Facility — the same firm awarded the $529M Hudson/Big Horn contract the same week (2026-07-09–geo-group-529m-hudson-colorado-big-horn-detention-contract) — shot a woman protesting outside the facility on the night of July 16. Aurora Police confirmed the arrest.
