Mullin on CNN: ICE Could Respond at a Polling Station if a Threat Arose, Citing a Bomb Threat as the Example
In an interview with CNN’s Kasie Hunt on Sunday (interview date), Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin was asked when ICE agents would be needed at polling places. As Talking Points Memo quotes him: “If a threat were to arise for whatever reason at a polling station — say a bomb threat would be called in — our ICE agents are more than just Immigration And Customs Enforcement.”
This is the secondary source’s transcription; the CNN video was not reviewed. No source read attributes the bomb threat example to FBI Director Kash Patel.
