ABC, Meta and Paramount Tell Congress How Their Trump Settlement Payments Were Designated; the Library Fund That Was Meant to Receive Them Is Dissolved

Some of the companies the lawmakers wrote to answered in March 2026. The answers are the only primary statements of how each payment was designated.

ABC (March 23): the agreement requires $15,000,000 to a presidential foundation and museum; ABC’s parent wired it on December 19, 2024 to the escrow account of Trump’s counsel; release awaits ABC’s written authorization, requested after Trump’s counsel reported IRS recognition of “The Donald J Trump Presidential Library Foundation, Inc.” on March 19, 2026.

Meta (letter dated March 25): “$22 million of the settlement amount was designated to support a presidential library for President Trump.” Meta called further details confidential.

Paramount (March 23, through outside counsel): Paramount Global paid $16 million under a Settlement and Release Agreement dated July 17, 2025. “Except for plaintiffs’ fees and costs, the entire amount is to be allocated to a future non-profit presidential library.” The letter adds that “No amount was paid directly or indirectly to the plaintiffs, President Trump or Rep. Ronny Jackson, personally.”

The lawmakers’ release says the original Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Fund was administratively dissolved by Florida in September 2025, that its incorporator filed articles of dissolution on December 29, 2025, and that a second nonprofit, the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, Inc., was formed under the original mission by a different incorporator.
