TrumpRx.gov Launches at a White House Event With National Design Studio Director Gebbia; CRS Says the Studio Designed and Operates It
Date kind. February 5, 2026 is the launch and announcement date: the Congressional Research Service says the administration “officially launched” TrumpRx that day, and Trump’s remarks at the White House event say the discounts were available “starting today”. It is not the date the trumprx.gov domain was registered or the date any earlier version of the site went up.
What happened. Trump announced the site at a White House event with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Mehmet Oz and National Design Studio Director Joe Gebbia. The Congressional Research Service describes TrumpRx as “designed and operated by the National Design Studio”, and Nextgov/FCW also says the platform was “designed by the National Design Studio”. The studio sits within the White House Office of the Executive Office of the President (created by 2025-08-21–eo-14338-creates-nds-ndstudio-gov-pre-registered-day-prior).
Why it is in the record. The portal’s analytics disclosure is documented at 2026-06-11–trumprx-privacy-policy-drops-posthog-analytics-disclosure-no-posthog-award-in-usaspending.
