FBI Seizes Over 600 Boxes of Fulton County's 2020 Election Records Under Two Warrants Signed and Executed the Same Day

What happened

FBI agents seized over 600 boxes of Fulton County’s 2020 election records. The court’s order dates the seizure January 28, 2026, and says the Magistrate Judge considered the application and signed the warrant on January 28, 2026. The application was submitted on January 27, 2026, and the order says the warrant was signed and executed the following day.

What the warrant lists

Attachment B to the Election Hub warrant application lists records relating to violations of Title 52, United States Code, §§ 20701 and 20511. Its enumerated items are:

• Ballots: a. All physical ballots from the 2020 General Election in Fulton County.
• Tabulator tapes: b. All tabulator tapes for every voting machine used in Fulton County.
• Ballot images: c. All ballot images produced during the original ballot count.
• Voter rolls: d. All voter rolls from the 2020 General Election in Fulton County.

The affidavit says the Fulton County Superior Court has ordered that the election records relating to the 2020 election be retained under seal.

Two warrants

The order states: The Magistrate Judge actually signed two warrants. The property to be searched under one is The Fulton County Election Hub; under the other, The Office of the Clerk of Court. The government sought the second warrant after officials directed agents to an access-limited portion of the warehouse controlled by the Clerk of Court. The second application cites the earlier warrant as No. 1:26-mc-0158-CMS. Both applications were filed on the public docket with a Filed 02/10/26 stamp, in miscellaneous case 1:26-mi-00012.
