SNAP Benefits Halted After USDA Suspension of November Allotments
NPR host Ayesha Rascoe said on Weekend Edition Sunday that “SNAP benefits have now been officially halted.” A federal judge in Massachusetts had written the day before that “there has never previously been a suspension of benefits during the program’s sixty-year history.” The court made the historical claim before the suspension took effect; NPR confirmed the halt afterward.
