On March 1, 2018, Americore wired $200,000 into James and Sara Biden’s personal account. The same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check to Joe Biden marked as ’loan repayment.’ Americore later filed bankruptcy and sued James Biden for fraud, settling in 2022 for $350,000 repayment. House Oversight Committee investigations revealed the timing and questioned whether the then-private citizen Joe Biden knew the funds originated from a failing company.
